It is a privilege to get the chance to shoot this amazing wonderful people. Going to Leisure Lea Gardens is like going home to me, I guess it is “that” wonderful atmosphere of friendliness and warmth.

Hunter Valley Vineyard

With the hectic work schedule in the past months, I suddenly realized that I have not been taking many photo for my kids. I felt so bad, as they were “and still are” the inspiration for me to take up photography right from the beginning.

So, with the 2 weeks Winter school holiday in Sydney, we managed to drive up to the Hunter Valley for a day trip. Hunter Valley is really a beautiful place, especially, during this time of the year, the fresh air, the venue, and you can find the most magical soft golden Winter light in this place.

I was shooting these images right into this golden light, and it creates this beautiful flare. I love flare, in my opinion, it is an attractive effect which create nice and dramatic impact within the image. So, what do you think?

BTW, this was my first trip to the Hunter Valley Vineyard, and now, I am planning for the next trip. :p

Hornsby Children’s Voices For Reconciliation

Hornsby Children’s Voices for Reconciliation was organised by the Hornsby Shire Council. A fun day to enjoy Aboriginal music, dance and culture, where more than 100 school students participated with performances of stories, songs, dances and drama.

I do not know about the others, but I was totally engrossed in shooting this event, and learning a lot from these wonderul children.

Well done, children.

WPPI : Photographer’s Ignite By Jasmine Star

I recently came across this video, it is a presentation that was done by Jasmine Star, an international wedding photographer during a Photographer’s Ignite session in WPPI. Her topic was Personal Growth, it is truly inspiring, and something, that I can really relate to in my every day work. Check it out if you have 5 minutes.

And, it is a good feeling that our work get recognised (Well… once in a while…)

Norah Head Lighthouse

Norah Head Lighthouse is located halfway between the townships of The Entrance and Budgewoi on the stretch of the NSW coastline.

Built in 1903, Norah Head Lighthouse was the last manned lighthouse built in the State and the last major colonial lightstation constructed in NSW before ownership and control of Australian coastal lights was passed to the Commonwealth.

Father & Daughter: Hide and go seek

Last Monday, it was our Australia Anzac Day public holiday, although it is supposed to be Autumn at this time of the year, it turned out to be a beautiful warm and sunny day, as it seemed that Summer is refusing to go away this year.

My brother had his friend’s family coming over to his house, and we had a really delicious BBQ lunch together. I had a really great and relaxing day, with great food, nice wine, good friends and family, just chatting the afternoon away, while the children were running around the back yard and playing.

These are a few frames that I have captured while my brother’s friend is playing Hide and Go Seek with his daughter. Look at the beautiful and spontaneous laughter from his little girl, after she was spotted by her father, it is simply adorable.

A priceless moment, if you ask me …

My Valentine

My valentine.

Ha-ha. Don’t let the title fool you. There is no pretty or sexy lady.

Actually, this is the place where I grew up.

After being away for more than 18 years, I drove back to Valentine with my parents last Friday, and it really brought back a lot of sweet childhood memories, and I almost forgotten how beautiful this place is.

As the lake is only 5 minutes walk from our home, when we were young, we used to just walk down to the lake for swimming, fishing, and cannoning during Summer.

In case you do not know where is Valentine, it is a suburb of the City Of Lake Macquarie, and it is around 150km north from Sydney CBD.
